encounters with Hyderabad... In love with..

The place is madhapur(one of the most crowded here) and its cloudy. I have decided to take a walk around and a camera along has become a habbit..
Over a week since i landed here in Hyderabad. To the best of my effort i have discovered the city extensively as much i could in 9 days.i think i did well because today i had the opportunity to guide a telugu to his destination near by..
The road has a few brands alongside with messy parking facility. 2 kms through and not a single outlet that is unknown to Chandigarh..Broken pavements are adding to my irritation..
Street food has always been an attraction but am strictly adviced to stay away..am told that the customers here are cheated on with beef instead of boneless chicken.Madhapur is a major commercial area and is serving nothing for eating joints with average prices.Hyderabad will cater restaurants with nice ambience only if you have your debit cards loaded with heavy amounts.
Roaming down the streets am reminded more, i guess am in a strong mood of comparing the two towns now.Such a thought always gets triggered with heavy favourism to your hometown. Am really missing the wide Chandigarh roads and massive green cover alongside.
Chandigarh is more organised.like we have demarcations amongst places,,a specified area that is the house to the best of coaching institiutes in the region,a separate place for all of restaurants and a similar big place for shopping.
But everything is scattered here in Hyderabad.May be because its an older town and the task is not easy to manage such places. The city has no sense of traffic..i have witnessed less than 2 percent wearing helmets.. !!! laugh!!!! Have more!! License is no issue, many taxies and auto rickshaws are running even without registeration papers..
What more joyous is to watch streaming no of buildings to major IT companies which is an easy view here and quiet rare back home. The major IT parks include the hi tech city, the Amadeus IT park, mind space etc. Being an IT aspirant i can’t get IT brands off my head..It is always on priority for me to walk miles in order to have a glimpse of every company campus..Believe me watching MICROSOFT campus so closely for the first time is worth cherishing..Also the CYBER TOWer in the heart of Hyderabad gives a splendid view.

Our visit to the ramouji film city was disappointing and boring too. We couldn’t help insulting the so called largest film city of the world as outdated and waisted until a localite stranger interfered and said “nayi pasand to ghar pe rehna tha..!!” well i could understand his state since i feel the same when somebody speaks against Chandigarh.. that is obvious and pardonable too..isn’t it??
Loving your home town is a challenging trait and is earned by few..Slowly It is becoming a reason for me to respect hyderabad  for what so ever it looks alike.\
now you all might wonder that what makes  the sense for cursing hyderabaad and titling as 'IN LOVE WITH'..'
on my way back from the golconda fort a chat with a local auto rickshaw driver made me realize the tremendous emotion people have here for their place.
for now its raining, the city looks beautiful and my camera is ready.
will surely share about the auto rickshaw experience  and many more in my next post....

RaaVaN..

In Hyderabad raavan is one of the few hindi films that was talked about amongst die hard telugu cinema fans here, and don’t know how the film was one of reasons for me to schedule my holiday accordingly.

To my shock raavan by one of india’s greatest film makers is a complete lost film . The film do generously shares some instanceS from epic Indian tale RAMAYANA but hardly intends to leave an impact on.The disturbing facts include predictable screenplay and a full no sense performance by the lead abhishiek.. Abi as beera is so tainted and deviated that his attempt to create scary
gestures appear funny and never does he even once builts tension on screen.Rather, southern star vikram as dev is more appealing with his silence, but he too finds it odious to over come poor characterisation by the writers.Even in some scenes dev appears more dangerous and villainous than raavan.

Aishwerya rai as raaginin that was supposed to be the central character of the film and the big reason for all the bloody conflicts does nothing enough..she reminds us of the actresses of the 70’s that screamed and shouted for mercy but gave no logical contribution to the films craft..Among performances surprise show by govinda raises a few laughs and he along with ravi kishen do make the film a little yet worthy reason not to leave film in between..

The cinematography by santosh sivan is beautiful with a stunning coverage of the forests but still some  head spinning  camera movements are unbearable that sometimes confuse about the happenings on screen.

The only enjoyable moments in the film are provided by AR rahman’s haunting background  music that successfully lift the mood of the film to the tension building in the dense green cover..
Also mani ratnam's attempt to give a different perception to the characters of RAM and rAAVAN  is well intended but won't be understood by all.

the 5 mins portion before the climax do create some interest when suspicious dev demands a polygraphic test on his wife, but sadly 5 mins are not capable enough to balance the inconsistencies in the rest..

on the whole mani ratnam’s raavan emerges as a big dissapointment. It is an  unimportant film that will surely won’t be discussed or remembered.. Another instance where Indian filmamkers take their working style for guarranted..Hope this one remains the only spoiler by mani ratnam..

UNTITLED..(wasn't required!!)

so here i am again...After writing reviews, translating legendary poetry work to crap, short stories, evrything that defines my non sense skill of litterature i  decided to write next  without  any thought procedure..
( actually am too lazy to think this time)!!!
Yes,,i didn't plan, had no thoughts of what i'll write.... i had just penned or say keyed my thoughts..PJ!!...so what,, if the country is going crazy y shouldn't i?? (another PJ..    was that required?/)
Since I came prepared to write without any motive or theme, what would have been easier than just  discussing myself…(can’t discuss others publicily..)
The monsoons have knocked and before i could  plan a bath out i realized it was a pre-monsoon and ended the next evening...The city had a black out that night and i really wasn't feeling sleepy partially because of thunder noise that i hate and partially due to the excitement for the showery month ahead  that is yet to begin...What more could have i done when my cell phone battery died out and my ipod had nothing new to give pleasure..
i declared my state as idle  and don't know how  i decided to think about myself,my interests, dislikes, everything that am already was familiar with..It did happen because thinking about myself makes me feel important.. That is the reason why i decided to write my next post about myself only..don't know what but it had to do with me...
K  Let us see where we end up…I’ll start by answering some questions that am asked everyday..take it as an oppurtunity…( I don’t do it daily....)
WHY DO I CRITICISE FILMS ?? the answer is i don't criticise , i hate criticism.. i don't like to be called as a  critic..
I  think criticism is a way to xpress your jealousy..  Criticising is  the easiest job in the world...in my case, i love films,i like to write about them.. i like to share what i like and dislike about..       I can recommend to watch a particular film but i'll never ask to avoid one..That is something to be decided indivisually, and that is why i don't give stars or rating or marks or whatesoever..
Watching films is my  hobby, that doesn't mean it is the only thing i love to do..Everyone watches films but very few try to understand them..and the ones who do, have a wiser perception towards happenings around..(atleast I think so).My passion for films has driven me crazy such that  a friend  once taunted me " tu to apni girlfriend ko filme dikha dikha k maar dega" to which i replied aS 'pehle bane to sahi"";);););)
Now many people consider it as  a crisis of my life that I NEVER HAD A GIRLFRIEND....reasons many..

Firstly i don't get  along well with girls...actually  am scared of their habbit when they keep suspecting evry other frank boy as their  follower dying to become a lover..u don’t agree?? I had experienced way back..i got to know this girl named……( doesn’t matter), we shared some general  moments, discussed  work and to my surprise weeks later the entire campus rumoured me  with a similar blame..ghosh!!!! I didn’t even clarified because I thought It wasn’t  required..and their i recited one of most common hindi film dialogues.."kya ek ladka aur ek ladki dost nai ho sakte"....OH K OH K.. i apologise for this wierd logic,,wierd yet applicable to sensless brains..
I do have some female friends and i prefer verifying my fear before  evry new girl i get to talk with..and the ones i do ,i think are sensible enough to make the difference..
secondly,a girlfriend is an expensive affair..friends are fine..atleast i can ask my female friend to pay for herself...(does that mean am  a miser..??)
if u find the above as excuses and not reasons then watch out for this one..am not capable;);)..the word CAPABILITY here is not supposed to question my masculinity.
it simply states that am not gifted with the DIVINE senses to visualise the hindi movie lyrics when they potrayl the bond between aliens and not humans.its commendable when some lines potentially reflect our lives,,  (believe me,some really do)   but songs are a mere part of our lives,,some more things are to be taken care of along..
also I think………!!!!!!!
I think kafi hai….i doubt this is the most unimportant  peice of writing by anybody…it had nothing to tell genuine and breaches my own principles that I have mentioned on my page top…
Don’t expect any sequels  such as part 2 ,3 to it…( unless I feel  idle again)… take care and let me think of some worthy title...
(keep wondering why some lines were highlighted..)

Translation: Ghalib's Hazaron Khwahishien Aisi..

Hazaron khwahishien aisi ke har khwahish pe dum nikle,
bahut nikle mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle..

daray kyun mera qatil?? kya rahega uski gardan par?
woh khoon jo chashm-e-tar se umar bhar yun dam-b-dam nikle..

nikalana khuld se aadam ka sunte aayein hain lekin,
bahut be-abroo hokar tere kooche se hum nikale..

magar likhwaye koi usko khat,to mujhse likhwaye,,
hui subah aur ghar se kaan par rakh kar kalam hum nikale,,

hui is daur me mansoob mujhse badaa ashaami,
phir aya woh zamaana jo jahan me jaam-e-jaam nikale...

hui jin se tavaqqa khastagi ki daad paane ki
woh hum se bhi zyada khasta e tegh e sitam nikale,,

mohabbat mein faraq nahi jeeney aur marne ka,
usi ko dekh kar jeete hain, jis kaafir pe dam nikale..

zara kar zor seene pe k teer e pursitam nikale jo
Wo nikle to dil nikle, jo dil nikle to dam nikle

Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle
Bohat niklay mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle...

Thousands of desires as such, I owe my life to each,
many of them are fulfilled, yet I desire more.
my beloved should not be scared,

I won't let her repent for the blood streaming down my eyes.
the world knows about adam's dismissal from heaven,
I felt more ashamed leaving the lane of your house
if anyone needs to write her,

am ready.., for I leave every day with a pen on my ear.
there was a time when your separation made me try alcohol once,
and today my entire world is defined by it.
the one I expected sympathy from for my state,

turned out to be more injured but by the same sword of betrayal.
life and death are indifferent in love,
still, I live by looking at my beloved worth dying for.
.
allow your heart to remove the painting arrow,
for if the arrow comes out, your heart cries out along.
thousands of desires as such, I owe my life to each,

many of them are fulfilled, yet I desire more.

RAJNEETI.. silly yet gripping....

"ye janta  do meethe vado ki bhukhi h,kisi bhi rang ka jhanda utha legi"
Like a typical prakash jha film RAJNEETI too is supported by taunting format of dialogues that are often rewarded back by whistles and energic ovations.
rajneeti is a worthy take on manipulative  twists and turns that  are  engaging and successfully built gripping interest for long.
Politics has always been a difficult and boring topic for indian films, but rajneeti stands out as an exception. What makes the film surprising is the fact that the characters are all ruthless and greedy as they are supposed to be in a political tale.
Here a wide influence of epic indian tale MAHABHARTA  can be realized since the characters behave extensively like that such as ajay devgn as KARNA,ranbir kapoor as ARjuna, manoj bajpayee as DURYODHNA, and nana patekar appearing in every other scene reminds you of part BHEESHM and part KRISHNA.Also a little influence of  THE GODFATHER style scripting should not be ignored..
Post interval the film is unecessarily exxagerated with a series of assassinations that were not required and the love relations covering ranbir ,katrina, arjun rampal and foriegn actress sarah only deviate and make the film lengthy.    Also its partial of the writers awarding wide space to ranbir falling short for ajay devgan, who was introduced as the dalit leader with a bang..He does nothing apart from standing quitely next to manoj bajpayee..
Of the cast it was manoj bajpayee as virendra pratap who performs the best and shines as the insolent leader..His act appears realistic and is hard to get off your heads since he shares some of films best scenes..This is the only feature that’ll be reminded  for years.
The story that starts off engagingly, leads to a dull and partially justified climax.
Rajneeti can still be enjoyed because films like these are not made every year n india.  its not as good as the omkara or sarkar, but a huge national award winning cast won't dissapoint and watching them together makes the film worth a watch..
In all,, the film faces two shortcomings, a bit lengthy second half and the fact that 2 of potentially best actors in the country nana patekar and ajay devgan are wasted.
If these can be forgiven,Rajneeti  is entertaining and not to be missed.

DHARTI.. spare this from criticism...

A week   after   watching one of rarest regional films in the country that crushed the bussiness of its co-released hindi film ,   I read ma...
